Commissioned by Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis, IN for their newly constructed Arlene Grande Campus, Rebekah Nolan’s sculpture, Take Care, translates her figurative drawings on paper into a monumental aluminum and steel sculpture. The colorful, overlapping, curvilinear shapes resembling human forms evoke unity, caring, and support. The sculpture was designed to curve in a gentle arch as opposed to flat and planar. As a result, when viewers experience the piece from up close, the sculpture gently wraps around them, the arc creating an interior sanctuary space.
